Poems on Music/Ekphrastic Poetry

Jessica is a poet and essayist. When not helping people in front-line legal work or teaching, she is with her young family, keeping company with books, learning something, writing, or buried in her record collection. She is a creative old soul — too serious and too enthusiastic — embracing idealism and pragmatism. She writes for music, fleeting images and the liminal spaces of emotion.

Her work can be found in the 2021 poetry anthology “A Poetry of Place: Journeys Across New Westminster,” Literary Impulse Quarterly, The Royal City Literary Arts Society Wordplay at Work ezine and through Medium publications: Loose Words, Assemblage, Scribe, A Philospher’s Stone, Apeiron Blog, The Junction, The Weekly Knob, PSILY, Weeds & Wildflowers, A Cornered Gurl, The Riff, and others. Jessica is also an editor and writer for Scrittura. She lives in British Columbia.
