Jessica Lee McMillan (she/her) is a writer, poet and teacher with an MA in English and Certificate of Creative Writing from Simon Fraser University's The Writer's Studio. She stops in here sometimes for the community she loves. Jessica's work has appeared/is forthcoming in Crab Creek Review, The Humber Literary Review, Funicular, Pinhole Poetry, Rose Garden Press, QWERTY, and others. Jessica was a finalist for The Fiddlehead’s 2023 Ralph Gustafson Poetry Contest and longlisted for The New Quarterly's 2024 Nick Blatchford Occasional Verse Contest and the 2023 Surrey Muse Vera Manuel Poetry Prize . She won the 2022 Royal City Literary Arts Society Write On! Contest for Poetry and has received poetry nominations for the Pushcart and Best of the Net.
